July has been an exciting month of progress and preparation.
We're thrilled to share some updates that are almost ready to launch, plus several behind-the-scenes improvements that will make your Donorfy experience more secure and reliable. Here's your July roundup of improvements and fixes.
What's been happening
- Login features: We previously mentioned a couple of new login options we were working on, and we're happy to report they're in the final testing phase! Single sign-on (SSO) functionality will let you access all Access products with just one email address, with administrators able to set permissions for complete control over user access. Plus, you'll soon be able to log into Donorfy using your Google, Microsoft and other social accounts!
- Performance updates: We've been working hard on general performance improvements. While larger charities with more complex and larger data sets might notice the difference most dramatically, all users will benefit from a more responsive experience. These improvements live "below the waterline," working quietly behind the scenes to make everything run more smoothly.
- Infrastructure updates: Our infrastructure upgrade project is mostly complete now, marking a major milestone in our technical foundation upgrades. These improvements will ensure Donorfy remains robust and continues to run smoothly into the future.
- Enhanced database security: We've invested a lot of time in further strengthening the security of underlying databases this month. Keeping your data safe has always been front and centre in everything we do, and this ongoing commitment continues to be a top priority.
- Better bug resolution: We've moved our product and engineering management into Access Group systems, which has unlocked some fantastic, automated processes. This includes proactive security scanning and improved visibility for bug resolution. What does this mean for you? When pesky bug issues do arise, fixes and resolutions should be faster.

While you’re here, the UK Data (Use and Access) Bill received Royal Assent on 19th June. It’s introducing practical changes to the way charities can collect and use personal data but, don’t worry, Donorfy is already ready for the changes: read more here.
