Donorfy Success Story - West Norfolk Carers

Those who benefit from the work of West Norfolk Carers see their own emotional and physical wellbeing improve, plus gain the ability to cope with their caring roles whilst having a ‘life of their own’.

Carers can be any age and don’t have to be members of the family - they can be caring for a friend or neighbour too, for someone who often has very complex needs.

Previously, West Norfolk Carers relied upon a mix of systems to keep track of their donations, campaigns and constituents, including Excel, MailChimp and Sage Accounting. From the beginning, this was difficult to manage as Lucy Day from West Norfolk Carers explains: “the work that the charity does can be quite complex, with lots of different people involved at different stages. We knew from the start that it wasn’t ideal to be spread across different platforms, but wanted to get out there helping those who help others.

The time came in early 2015 to find something to bring it all together, and that’s when we heard about Donorfy on LinkedIn.” Andy Hopkins from Donorfy founding partner MAST-ICT has worked with West Norfolk Carers to get them up and running. He says, “this is a typical case of a brilliant charity who rightly focus on the good work that they do. We’ve helped West Norfolk Carers put the data that was there beforehand, but never in an easy-to-understand way, right at their fingertips so they can better track and report on engagement, fundraising and campaigns.”
