Donorfy, the fundraising database and charity CRM, have been named in the top 20 ranking of cloud companies in the UK, as part of the Cloudex Awards.
Cloudex is an index of leading global Cloud technology businesses operating in software, services, hardware and infrastructure. It focuses on the financial performance and valuation of these companies versus the population of more general technology vendors.
The Cloudex awards, launched in 2013, were designed to profile innovative and emerging players in the UK Cloud industry, and highlight the country’s top 20 independently-owned Cloud technology businesses.
Unlike other global business rankings, Cloudex is based on more than simply turnover or profit growth. Panel members take into account other metrics including growth prospects, innovation and global competitiveness, market fit and use of cloud technologies.
The list includes a mix of companies, including Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) and Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) providers who the judges claim lead the cloud computing field.
This year’s judging panel includes:
- Melissa Di Donato, Salesforce.com;
- Paul Morrissey, Battery Ventures;
- Lee Prout, Megabuyte; and
- Emma Rodgers, Clearwater International.
Robin Fisk, CEO at Donorfy, said of the nomination:
“We knew that cloud technology would be a big turning point in the ability for charities to lower technology costs, but whereas the commercial world is well served by cloud CRM solutions, charities did not have their own, purpose built offering. So with Donorfy we have levelled the playing field for charities across the UK by providing a compelling, cloud-native donor database solution that integrates seamlessly with other cloud services such as MailChimp, Eventbrite and JustGiving. It’s a win-win for all involved, and we’re delighted to be recognised by Cloudex for this.”
The awards ceremony will take place in London on 12 October to celebrate the top 20 companies, along with a special award for the top three businesses and a ‘one to watch’ award.
