Splash! have operated for over ten years in the schools and communities of Sussex, working to make a positive faith-based impact in the lives of children.
Their work in 25 local schools includes running assemblies, RE lessons and summer holiday clubs to reinforce values and attitudes which schools wish to promote, and encourage a sense of community spirit. With continued growth, especially over the last 3 years, comes the increasing difficulty to keep track of donors, volunteers and funds.
As Caroline from Splash! explains, “We had our toes dipped in lots of different waters. Our followers can donate on lots of different fundraising platforms, which is great, but it’s been difficult to keep track of where the funds come from, and from who.” With a MailChimp list to add at the same time, Donorfy has provided the platform for Splash! to get a holistic view of the work their charity is doing.
Authorised Donorfy partner, FB2 Consulting, has worked with Splash! to integrate the platforms. As Ben explains: “as with many small charities, Splash! wanted to focus on running great assemblies, writing drama scripts and designing craft ideas, rather than organising their CRM. We’ve enabled them to bring everything together. Splash! can now see exactly where the support is coming from, and can engage with their supporters seamlessly.”
Splash! will also benefit from Donorfy linking with their accounting system and collecting Gift Aid on their behalf. As Caroline states, “claiming Gift Aid allows us to do so much more financially, but takes up a lot of time. By handing it over to Donorfy we can get back to producing resources for the children and improving their outlook.”
Splash! are looking to add further cloud tools such as Eventbrite to handle bookings and take payments for summer holiday clubs in the near future. Caroline adds, “the integration aspect will become increasingly important for us: by moving to Donorfy now, we are in a great place to continue growing and meet with more schools and kids in the years to come.”
Splash! had their fundraising and engagement tools spread across offline and online tools, resulting in a struggle to see where everything was coming from. Integration with other cloud tools has been a real benefit for Splash!, and has opened up further opportunities which will enable a shift in focus from admin to the children.
