Inside Sales Representative - home-based

Job brief

We are looking for an enthusiastic, determined and talented Inside Sales Representative to work from home to help us quickly build our client base in the UK charity and nonprofit sector. This role is currently part-time (50%), with the possibility to extend to full-time.

In summary

Donorfy is the UK's fastest growing CRM solution for charities. You will play a fundamental role in our small but growing team, achieving our ambitious growth objectives by taking inbound sales leads, qualifying them and converting them to closed deals. We all work from our homes keeping in touch daily via Skype, and meet up from time to time for face-to-face meetings in Brighton.

Responsibilities

  • Source new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-up and outbound cold calls and emails
  • Research accounts, identify key players and generate interest
  • Understand customer needs and requirements
  • Do compelling product demonstrations (mostly online, but occasionally face to face, usually in London)
  • Close sales and achieve quarterly quotas
  • Team with channel partners to build pipeline and close deals
  • Perform effective online demos to prospects
  • Represent and uphold the company's brand values
  • Occasional help with marketing activities
  • Reporting to the CEO

Requirements

We're looking for candidates with all or most of the following:

  • Proven inside sales experience with track record of over-achieving quota
  • Understanding of the UK charity and nonprofit sector and their needs
  • Strong phone presence
  • Technical knowledge - you don't need to code but you need to understand what an API is. We'd expect you to be able to discuss integration with prospects, know how to manipulate data in Microsoft Excel (for example) and to have a knowledge of popular cloud tools such as MailChimp and Eventbrite
  • Proficiency with online conferencing and web presentation tools
  • Experience working with Salesforce, Donorfy, Insightly, Capsule, HubSpot or similar CRM
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Strong listening and presentation skills
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritise, and manage time effectively
  • Suitable environment for working from home, with reliable internet connection and without distractions
  • Within easy reach of Brighton area for regular face-to-face meetings with other members of the team

Basis

The job is part-time. We are willing to consider freelance candidates (preferred) as well as employed. Compensation will be a combination of an hourly rate plus commission.
