Equality and Diversity

Statement

We’re a values-based organisation. One of our values is “Do what’s right”, and that extends to matters of equality and diversity. Like any small business our commitment to doing what’s right needs to be proportionate to the resources of an organisation of our size.

Being transparent is important to us, so we’re not going to pretend that we have implemented an extensive policy designed for much larger organisations by copying and pasting a policy for the sake of it. But we are able to make a commitment appropriate to our organisation, as follows:

  • encouraging equality and diversity among our workforce as far as we are able
  • creating a working environment free of bullying, harassment, victimisation and unlawful discrimination, promoting dignity and respect for all, and where individual differences and the contributions of all staff are recognised and valued
  • taking seriously complaints of bullying, harassment, victimisation and unlawful discrimination

We are of course bound by current legislation, including the Equality Act 2010 and the Protection from Harassment Act 1997.
