Could I count on you?

Epilepsy Action’s Could I Count on You? campaign tackled fear and stigma head-on, using powerful, relatable scenarios to help the public understand what it’s like to live with epilepsy, and to build confidence in how to respond when someone has a seizure.

Inspired by the statistic that 1 in 3 people in the UK would be scared to witness a seizure, the campaign reframed fear into empathy, asking a simple, human question: Could I count on you? and inviting the nation to learn, share, and act.

“We set out to replace fear and stigma with empathy and understanding, inspiring the nation to learn what to do and act with confidence when it matters most.”

Every Second Counts

BASICS Devon’s Every Second Counts campaign shone a spotlight on the life-saving role of volunteer emergency care doctors in rural communities, where ambulance response times can be longer and outcomes are critically time-dependent.

Built around the real-life story of cardiac arrest survivor Gillian Kirkman, whose life was saved by a BASICS Devon volunteer doctor, the campaign humanised emergency medicine and showed how rapid, advanced intervention at the roadside can mean the difference between life and death.

“I wouldn’t be here without volunteer doctors.”

21 Waves of Change

SEA LIFE TRUST’s 21 Waves of Change transformed everyday habits into a global ocean conservation movement, showing that small, simple actions can create powerful collective impact.

Built around the idea that it takes 21 days to form a habit, the campaign invited people to take one ocean-friendly action each day, from reducing single-use plastics to choosing sustainable travel and learning more about marine life. With support from Community Ambassador and international volleyball player Issa Batrane, the campaign made ocean protection feel accessible, positive and achievable.

“21 Waves of Change made people stop, think, and act, proving that even the smallest wave can make a lasting difference.”
