Calm Amongst the Chaos

Bristol Animal Rescue Centre’s Calm Amongst the Chaos appeal combined creativity, compassion and powerful storytelling to protect animal welfare during a period of major disruption.

Faced with relentless construction noise around their historic site, the team created a multi-channel campaign centred on calm. From a flagship video showing the real impact on animals, to a bespoke colouring book sent to supporters inviting them to “find a moment of calm”, the appeal brought supporters emotionally into the animals’ world while raising essential funds to improve their day-to-day environment.

Raised almost £17,400, exceeding the £12,000 target by 45%, to fund calming equipment, enrichment activities and off-site walks 🐾

Summer Appeal 2025

North West Air Ambulance Charity’s Summer Appeal reimagined how life-saving impact is told, putting families, not clinical detail, at the heart of the story.

Instead of focusing on medical intervention, the campaign was built around the experience of a family whose life had been changed by NWAA, showing supporters what survival really means long after the helicopter has landed. Backed by data-led segmentation and tailored ask amounts, the appeal connected more deeply while reaching fewer people, proving that relevance beats volume.

Nearly doubled gross income, raising £27,855 against a £15,000 target, while also significantly increasing net profit 📈

Halved mailing volume and costs using insight-led targeting, yet achieved a higher 5.96% response rate, up from an expected 3.9% ✉️

Increased the average gift from £35 to £46 by using predictive data to tailor ask amounts, with some newly identified supporter segments generating almost £8,000 alone 💚

Emergency Appeal 2025

Calvert Devon’s Emergency Appeal was launched at a moment no charity ever wants to face: the real possibility of closing their doors for good.

With rising costs, falling bookings and just three weeks to act, the team turned to crowdfunding to save their accessible activity centre and the life-changing experiences it provides for people with disabilities. The appeal combined urgent, honest storytelling with daily video updates, reward-based giving and a powerful call to community, transforming fear into collective action.

“The response was overwhelming. People refused to let our doors close and reminded us just how powerful community support can be when it really matters."
