How to leverage your CRM data for effective fundraising

You’ve likely heard of our charity sector friends, Enthuse.

They’re Europe’s #1 charity-first fundraising platform and the official fundraising partner for London Marathon Events and Great Run.

What’s more, Enthuse integrates with Donorfy and is used by lots of you. So who better to share some top tips to help you maximise your CRM data and help you raise more than the Enthuse team?

Here are their top five tips:

  • Set objectives - Firstly, it’s important to know what you’re looking to improve by using a CRM. For example, you might have a focus on donor retention. Or maybe it’s increasing the average donation amount. Once you know that, then you can set your targets and organise your dashboard accordingly.
  • Better understand your supporters - One of the key benefits of having your data in one place is the comprehensive view it gives you. Delve into what time of day a supporter decides to give, which events they sign up for and the average donation amount. Get a clearer idea of what inspires them to give, with up-to-date data that is automatically refreshed every 15 minutes.
  • Inform your stewardship - If you’re looking to turn your supporters into repeat givers, using relevant, tailored comms is crucial for building that connection. Tap into your data streams and use your time to appeal to donors in an informed way.
  • Report on your work - And of course, with all the data at your disposal, make sure you’re tracking how your campaigns perform and how your supporters are getting on.
  • Optimise - Then you can put your learnings to use. Once you’ve finished a fundraising campaign take a look at what the data tells you. Can it inform A/B tests going forward? Which touchpoints drove the most activity? How far out from event day did donations spike?

We hope you find these tips helpful! If you need any help integrating Enthuse and Donorfy, you can get onboarded with Enthuse here.
